Heather McKechney a.k.a The Intoxicating Professor, is a chemistry professor and speaker who enjoys sharing the science and history behind wine, beer, and spirits in a way that is approachable and engaging for audiences across New York and beyond. She holds a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and teaches chemistry at Monroe Community College, but also leading tastings and educational programs throughout New York.

Born and raised in virginia, she has a special affection for the Commonwealth's vineyards and the people shaping is modern White identity. For this Women For WineSense program, she draws on both her Virginia upgrades and her professional expertise to showcase the diversity, character, and innovation of Virginia wines- an under- recognized region, she's passionate about introducing to new audiences.

Heather's work, is shaped by a lifelong love of travel, exploring new wine regions, and bringing those experiences back to her audiences- combining curiosity, conversation, and a genuine enthusiasm for what's in the glass.
