It’s a of the month which means a new show goes live at Frank's Chop Shop! Once again, our friend Corbin and the team at Frank’s Chop Shop have selected Endless Highway to be the charity beneficiary of their June art show, “Smile For Franks.”

This group art show celebrating community and local talent features works for sale, and 50% of the proceeds of all sales will go to our mission.

Stop by the shop for the opening show party tonight from 4-9pm (127 East Ave Rochester, NY) to connect with community and catch our founder, Rob.

Art will be displayed and for sale through the month of June with another art party on anime 20th during the Jazz Festival.

Following our founder's spinal cord injury in 1983, Rob went to work for disability rights pioneer Charlie Carr at the Northeast Independent Living Center as a Peer Advocate. There, Carr became one of Rob's greatest mentors.

In honor of our 30th anniversary in 2026, we are hosting the DPC 30th Anniversary Gala on November 19th at Artists for Humanity in Boston. This is a milestone celebration, so the event will look a little different from our typical annual events.

The biggest change for this year is that, instead of presenting three awards to outstanding leaders in the disability community, we have decided to present just one award in 2026 - the Visionary Changemaker Award.

And we are thrilled to announce that the recipient of the 2026 Visionary Changemaker Award is...Charlie Carr!

Charlie is a legend in the disability advocacy space. Long before DPC existed, his leadership was already helping shape the disability rights movement in Massachusetts and across the country. As one of DPC’s founders, he brought that vision to an organization that has had a meaningful impact on the lives of so many people. His influence extends far beyond DPC itself, and his work over the years has built the foundation of the disability rights movement we see today. In his current role as DPC's Legislative Liaison, Charlie's leadership and example continue to guide our community-based advocacy.

There is truly no one more deserving of this award - congratulations, Charlie! 👏

Take a look back at an Adaptive Push-In PE partnership with East Palmyra Christian School in early May where classmates at all levels tried new equipment, experienced different perspectives, and found joy in recreation together.

Our amazing friend and champion Katy Eberts will be back on the stage at Three Heads Brewing tomorrow during a special CD release event for Piranha Loco where all proceeds from the event will generously support our Endless Highway mission.

The sun was shining on Irondequoit Recreation’s first ever Abilities in Action Showcase at McAvoy Park.

We joined community agencies for resource-sharing, music, food trucks and brought some outdoor equipment for demonstrations.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Greece for selecting Endless Highway as a beneficiary of their 2026 Meat Raffle.

Rooted in a mission to serve their community and make a lasting difference in the lives of children, Kiwanis members lead with generosity and heart. Their $2500 donation helps us continue expanding access to sports, recreation, arts and community connection for people who use mobility devices, and like Kiwanis, we believe it’s so important to have access to these opportunities starting in early childhood.
