✨Dear Rochester Community,✨

You are invited to be part of the first annual Rooting & Rising Community Expo, on Saturday October 17th from 10am to 3pm at the Historic Sibley Building Downtown, Rochester NY.

Hosted by Miss Julie's, this community event will bring together local businesses, employers, artists, vendors, workshops, and community resources to celebrate growth, resilience, and the journey toward a beautiful future.

At the heart of this event is a simple belief: everyone starts somewhere. With the right support, opportunities, and encouragement, people can grow into something they never imagined possible. Like roots pushing through concrete, water carving a new path, or a phoenix rising after rebirth, growth often happens in places least expected.

This year’s Expo is especially meaningful as we celebrate the graduation of our very first student cohort. Their journey reflects what can happen when people are given support, education, opportunity, and a community that believes in them. While we celebrate their achievements, we also recognize that beautiful futures can take many forms.

Through workshops, shared stories, creative expression, career exploration opportunities, and community connections, the Expo is designed to inspire hope, spark new possibilities, and help folks take their next step forward.

By participating in this event, you are helping create pathways for individuals who may have once felt there were few options available to them.

We would be honored to have you join us. More information to be shared soon…

With a grateful heart,
Miss Julie 💜
