Rebuilding Together Richmond With our recent merger, we have expanded our reach to serve homeowners in Petersburg, Prince George, Hopewell and surrounding areas.

Rebuilding Together Richmond provides free home repair services for the homes of low-income homeowners living in some of the most vulnerable communities in Richmond and the Tri-Cities. Since 1992, Rebuilding Together Richmond (formerly Christmas in April) has been a champion of repairing the homes of low-income homeowners living in some of the most vulnerable communities in Richmond. Our focus is

to bring lasting change for homeowners in need – seniors, veterans, persons with disabilities, and families with children. As a proven leader in the community for nearly 25 years, we have the skills and resources to provide critical home repair services and safety modifications to those who need it the most. We serve nearly 100 homeowners each year and impact hundreds more with our community space projects, thanks to the help of our 1,000+ volunteers and skilled laborers.

A clogged gutter may seem small, but water damage rarely stays small. 💧🏠

When water cannot drain properly, it can damage roofing, siding, fascia, and even the foundation of a home.

That is why volunteer-supported repairs matter.

By cleaning gutters, installing gutter guards, and completing other preventive projects, RT RVA volunteers help reduce the risk of major repairs and protect the long-term safety of homes.

When people talk about the housing crisis, the conversation often focuses on building more homes. That matters.

But another part of the solution is just as urgent: preserving the affordable homes we already have.

Across the Greater Richmond region and Tri-Cities, many longtime homeowners are living in homes they have cared for over decades. But aging homes come with aging systems, and repairs can quickly become financially out of reach.

RT RVA helps homeowners remain safe, stable, and independent through critical repairs, accessibility modifications, and volunteer-supported projects.
