Dominion Energy is preparing for potentially significant and widespread power outages from heavy ice and snow accumulation across Virginia and northeastern North Carolina beginning Sunday afternoon.

Dominion Energy's mobile app can help you report an outage or check your restoration status.

If you see a downed pole or wire, you can report it by calling 866-DOM-HELP and stay at least 30 feet away. The line could be energized and dangerous.

The Virginia Forestry Association is proud to congratulate our Executive Director, Terry Lasher, on his appointment as the Commonwealth of Virginia’s next State Forester.

Although Terry has served as VFA’s Executive Director for just one year, his impact has been substantial. During his tenure, he strengthened the Association’s advocacy efforts, expanded fundraising, and helped elevate the Virginia Forestry Foundation—leaving a lasting mark on our organization and the members we serve.

While we will miss Terry in his current role, we look forward to continuing our work with him as State Forester as we advocate for Virginia’s forest industry—an industry that is good for the environment, good for public health, and a vital economic driver for the Commonwealth.

A graduate of the New York State Ranger School, Virginia Tech, and Liberty University, Terry brings a deep understanding of forestry and a strong commitment to serving Virginia’s landowners and forest community.

We are grateful for his leadership and service and wish him continued success in this important new role.
