In 1950, RACA was one of the first of three local chapters formed by the Virginia Counselors Association. It is an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of all of the Richmond Area Counselors who work in a variety of settings and with diverse populations. ies, and the independent cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Petersburg, and Richmond. RACA strives to be an engaging and active organization that effectively responds to local and statewide counseling issues by providing opportunities for professional training and social/networking events.
