A SECTION OF WASHBURN SKI TRAIL IS CLOSED FOR LOGGING.

For everyone's safety the Washburn Ski Trail is closed between Kiosk I and J.

The logger has started the Velvet Aspen Phase 1 Project.

The Trail boss helped.

Lake, Ridge, Lee's, BS, and Kathy's Trails have all been blown at Washburn for your fall and winter enjoyment.

The main purpose for blowing these trails are to make it easier to groom them for fat biking once the snow falls. Thanks to our volunteers who gave their Satureay morning to getting it done. Enjoy!

🍂 ❄ Attention Fatbike (and Fall) Enthusiasts: We need a few volunteers this Saturday morning to help leaf blow trails at Washburn. Blowing leaves and acorns off of the trails makes it much easier and efficient to groom our fatbike/snowshoe trails throughout the winter, and it provides a clear path for fall hiking/biking too! The Rhinelander Northwoods Composite MTB Team and RASTA is excited to welcome the Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League to Rhinelander this weekend!

Hundreds of middle and high school student-athletes and their families will be pre-riding and racing trails on and adjacent to Mud Lake. A portion of the Pines at Mud Lake will be closed during the event. You may also expect increased activity at Heal Creek throughout the weekend. However, these trails will remain open! Please help us welcome these athletes and their families to our area.

If you are interested in spectating, you are encouraged to come cheer for our local athletes. The races will be held at Camp Tesomas. Racing occurs all day Sunday beginning at 8:00am with Varsity and concluding with the last of our middle school athletes at 2:00pm. This is an amazing opportunity for youth who may be interested in mountain biking to come see what it is all about!

FAR OUT

Check out the start of our new RASTA boardwalk located on the south Cassian Trail. Hike or bike. We've built 200 ft, so it's out/back for now. We plan to eventually connect it to Timber Lk Rd.

A SECTION OF THE NOSE LAKE TRAIL HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR LOGGING OPERATIONS.

Logging operations are active on the Nose Lk Trail, East Loop, north of Nose Lake Rd. The trail has been posted closed for safety during the active logging.

You can still use the East Loop and bypass the logging area using Nose Lake Rd.

We think the ski trail will be open this winter. We'll keep you posted.
