🇺🇸 Northwoods Community — exciting news for our veterans!

This morning at 10:00 CST, the Desert Storm Memorial was officially dedicated on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., a powerful tribute honoring the 700,000 U.S. service members and coalition forces who served during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

The memorial’s stunning circular stone design, desert‑inspired layout, and symbolic falcon and eagle sculptures stand as a reminder of courage, sacrifice, and unity.

And today brings even more meaningful news:
Beginning January 1, 2027, the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, will expand eligibility to include all veterans (active, reserve, National Guard) who served prior to July 31, 1991.

Never Forgotten Honor Flight will begin accepting applications from veterans who served between May 8, 1975 and July 31, 1991.

If you or someone you know qualifies, please reach out to Northwoods Honor Flight Benefit — we would be honored to help you begin your journey.

❤️🤍💙 Our veterans deserve this experience. Let’s spread the word and make sure every eligible hero knows they are welcome!! 🇺🇸
