Meet Tony LeGrow, with Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Tony LeGrow and our Quitman Chamber Board President, who is getting ready to put his ’80s knowledge to the test at our 80s Pop Culture Trivia Night! 😎

We asked Tony about a few of his favorites from the rad decade:

🎨 Did you hear the good news?!

Quitman is getting a brand-new piece of public art!

As part of Wood County Walls 2026 Texas Street Art Festival, Miami artist Luis Valle will be coming to Quitman to transform all four walls of the restrooms at Gov. Jim Hogg City Park into a colorful tribute to the flora and fauna of Wood County.

Each wall will feature iconic plants and animals found right here in our area, including the Eastern Bluebird, Red-tailed Hawk, White-tailed Deer, Bobcat and, of course, the Dogwood.

Luis is known for his internationally recognized style of concentric dots, and we can't wait to see how he combines the natural beauty of Wood County with the vibrant colors of his Miami home.

Work on the murals will begin September 20, with a dedication planned for September 26 as three new murals are celebrated across Wood County in Quitman, Winnsboro and Mineola.

We are so excited to see this project come to life and add another unique piece of art to our community! ❤️
