There’s your City Manager Sulphur Springs
Really look at this photo.
Don’t focus on whether he’s asleep. 😴
Focus on what it represents.
For months, citizens have taken time away from their families, jobs, and personal lives to attend meetings, research documents, file public information requests, and ask difficult questions.
Time after time, they’ve been ignored.
Time after time, they’ve been dismissed.
Time after time, decisions are made regardless of what the public says.
So when I see a photo like this, I’m not surprised. But I am upset because it perfectly reflects how many citizens have been treated for MONTHS!
Unheard.
Unimportant.
Nothing but a burden.
This isn’t about one photograph.
It’s about months of frustration with a City Manager making over $215,000 a year while the people paying that salary are treated like an inconvenience.
And before anyone says we’re overreacting…..I mean, at least he stayed for the entire meeting this time.
