These fans were donated by the Quitman Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Mineola, Texas — and today they’re on their way to homebound seniors who need them most.

Yesterday we were presented with information by Traci Lively with Adult Protective Services. She discussed current needs and services they provide for the adults who are at risk in our communities.

By the end of the meeting, actions were being taken to help support those like Traci who devote so much of their lives supporting the vulnerable.

Today our presentation was by former Quitman alumni and past Rotary Student of the Month….. David Denny, PhD.

Dr. Denny’s expertise is in neuropsychology who brought a wealth of knowledge about brain function. He answered a lot of questions and we appreciate all of his efforts to keep our brains in top shape!

Yesterday countless needs were met! Serving the needs of our community is the core value of Rotary. This is just ONE of our need based projects and how it looks locally:

14817 lbs of food served 322 families, but we didn’t stop there! We were able to donate food to the following pantries:

Estimated 1000lbs to Rosehill Pantry
300 lbs to Winnsboro

Today we inducted our newest member, Ra-Lyn Baker.

She moved to the Quitman area just a few months ago and already looking to serve the community!!!

If you see her around town, give her the hometown Quitman welcome!

We know she is going to serve our club and community well.

Yesterdays food distribution at Mineola ISD! Rumor has it over 400 families were fed.
