Fresh off her Broadway debut as Persephone in Hadestown, the genre-defying Gaby Moreno will be joining us at the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts this fall!

We just know 💯 that she’ll blow us away with her soulful voice and can’t wait to have her on the show.

Since moving to Los Angeles from her native Guatemala, Gaby has released nine acclaimed albums, won a Grammy Award for “X Mí (Vol. 1)” (Best Latin Pop Album, 2024), earned two Latin Grammy Awards, and received Grammy nominations for “Alegoría” and “Illusion.” Her unique sound seamlessly blends English and Spanish. She has collaborated and performed with artists including Tracy Chapman, Ani DiFranco, Mavis Staples, Buena Vista Social Club, and Chris Thile.

Guess who’s returning to the show? It’s our favorite poet extraordinaire, Paisley Rekdal!

Paisley is the author of four books of nonfiction and seven books of poetry, including “West: A Translation,” which won the 2024 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, the Utah Book Award in Poetry, and was longlisted for the National Book Award. The former Utah poet laureate, she directs the American West Center at the University of Utah. Her newest book of poems, “Heritance,” examines the personal and familial shames we inherit, challenges the reader to contextualize their perspective within the corporeal, and questions what it means to love outside of “the lens of someone else’s imagining.” (Copper Canyon Press)

She will be at our season opener at The Alberta Rose Theatre on September 17th!

JUST ANNOUNCED! Comedian and “Broad City” actor Eliot Glazer will be joining us next month, September 17th at The Alberta Rose Theatre.

Known as a TV writer for beloved shows like “New Girl” and “Younger,” Eliot’s brand new book “The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Gay” features laugh-out-loud yet quietly heartbreaking stories that capture the glory, chaos, and contradictions of q***r modern life—a rallying cry for anyone who’s ever felt like the odd one out, the minority within the minority, and the one who always seems to “do it wrong.”

Kirkus Reviews calls it “hilarious, playful assessments from an antihero living on the fringes of the gay community.” And we can’t wait to talk about it.
