Our partners at the Oregon Working Families Party are hosting their Nominating Convention Weekend on August 15-16, bringing together organizers, labor leaders, community members, elected officials, and movement partners from across Oregon for a weekend of learning, strategy, and community.

The weekend includes a full day of training, a community dinner, and the party’s nominating convention. FAFO’s Care Advocacy Manger, Ivy Major-McDowall, will be presenting on the Child Care panel hosted by our Political Director, Marchel Marcos Kaleikini. FAFO’s Executive Director, Candice Williams will be both presenting on the Tax The Rich panel and speaking at the Saturday night dinner.

Maurice Mitchell, National Director of the Working Families Party, will be in Oregon throughout the weekend.
