For All Families Oregon (FAFO) 🤝 Fight for Our Future

Fight for Our Future is launching an initiative that would make Oregon more affordable for working families while protecting the services our communities depend on.

Here’s the deal:
👉 Cut state income taxes for working families through a 30% refundable tax credit for single filers making under $45,000 and joint filers making under $90,000

👉 Ask millionaires and the ultrawealthy to pay their fair share with a 1–1.2% tax on financial assets for people with more than $30 million in wealth.

👉 Raise more than $1.5 billion per biennium for Oregon’s General Fund to help protect health care, food assistance, child care, and other essential services.

More money in working Oregonians’ pockets. Millionaires paying their fair share. A healthier, more affordable Oregon.

Every Oregonian deserves the right to decide if, when, and how to build a family — and to get the health care they need to thrive.

As we expand our care work into reproductive justice, we want to hear from you.

We’re hosting a series of community listening sessions to learn what reproductive and health care access really looks like in your life, your work, and your neighborhood. Your experiences will shape the policies, coalitions, and campaigns we build together.

Sessions are open patients, providers, parents, students, elders, organizers, faith leaders, and anyone whose body, family, or community has been impacted. The folks who have been most impacted are those closest to effective solutions that address the root issues. Hope to see you there!

Our partners at the Oregon Working Families Party are hosting their Nominating Convention Weekend on August 15-16, bringing together organizers, labor leaders, community members, elected officials, and movement partners from across Oregon for a weekend of learning, strategy, and community.

The weekend includes a full day of training, a community dinner, and the party’s nominating convention. FAFO’s Care Advocacy Manger, Ivy Major-McDowall, will be presenting on the Child Care panel hosted by our Political Director, Marchel Marcos Kaleikini. FAFO’s Executive Director, Candice Williams will be both presenting on the Tax The Rich panel and speaking at the Saturday night dinner.

Maurice Mitchell, National Director of the Working Families Party, will be in Oregon throughout the weekend.
