ONE YEAR IN SALEM! 🎉

One year ago, we celebrated a groundbreaking milestone, the opening of Oregon’s first co-located Recovery High School and Youth Recovery Community Center in Salem.

Today, Discovery Academy and 4D Recovery continue to show what’s possible when education, recovery, and community come together under one roof.

For young people, it means they don’t have to choose between their education and their recovery. They can have both.

One year down, and we’re just getting started.

Our 4D Recovery Adolescent & Family Outreach team had a great time at the 2026 Back to School Resource Fair at Boeckman Creek Primary School in West Linn-Wilsonville School District!

Our team connected with parents, youth and community members to share information about 4D Recovery’s programs and services for youth and families.

This walk is an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate people in recovery, honor the families and loved ones who support them, reduce stigma, and remind everyone that recovery is possible. These themes align with Oregon Recovers' 2026 Walk for Recovery campaign.

Whether you're walking for your own recovery, in memory of someone you've lost, for a loved one who is still struggling, or to support people working toward a second chance, your presence matters.

Recovery is happening every day in Lane County, and on Saturday, September 19, we’re coming together to celebrate it!

Join us at 10:00 AM at First Christian Church in Eugene for the Lane County Walk for Recovery.

We walk to celebrate people in recovery. We walk for the families, friends, peers, and providers who support them. We walk in memory of the people we’ve lost. And we walk for those who are still struggling and need to see that recovery is possible.

Recovery strengthens families, restores relationships, creates new beginnings, and gives our communities new reasons to hope.

So bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your coworkers, clients, alumni, or community organization. Create a team and show up together!

As we look ahead to Recovery Month this September, we’re reminded that recovery is about resilience, community, and continuing to move forward, even in the face of unexpected setbacks.

Earlier this year, a devastating fire damaged our Adolescent & Family Recovery Campus just as we were nearing completion. While it changed our timeline, it did not change our commitment to young people, families, or the future of the campus.

Recently, The Lund Report reporter Garrett Andrews spent half a day alongside our Executive Director, Tony Vezina, getting a firsthand look at the work continuing behind the scenes following the fire. His article, “After devastating fire, 4D Recovery’s Tony Vezina undeterred,” highlights Tony’s recovery journey, leadership, and determination to move the campus forward. The story also features 4D team members Brittany Lyons and Andrea Hood, along with perspective from Bo Brinson, Director of Oregon Recovers.

As Tony shared, “I just believe in myself and my team and what we're trying to accomplish.”

That determination feels especially meaningful as we prepare for Recovery Month, a time to recognize the impact of recovery and the work happening every day in our communities. Through meaningful events like Oregon Recovers Walk for Recovery and our Annual Gratitude Gala, we’ll come together to celebrate recovery, recognize the work still ahead, and continue showing up for young people, families, and our recovery community.

The fire is part of our story, but it will not define what comes next. We’re still here, the work continues, and the vision for the Adolescent & Family Recovery Campus moves forward.

Shoutout to Washington County Regional Director, Candice Altman 4D Recovery - O'Rourke Center, for representing 4D Recovery alongside community partners in recognizing !

Deflection connects people to substance use treatment before they enter the justice system. During this , we want to shine a light on the impact our program is making. Since launching in September 2024, we have not only helped participants access treatment, but we have also provided them with more than 700 referrals to housing, health insurance, recovery supports and much more. Congratulations to all who have completed the program or are somewhere on their journey. Thank you to our partners who make this important work possible.
