25 stories for 25 years. 🏠 Sometimes Warehouse Magic comes full circle in the most unexpected ways.
Mich, a former staff member and longtime superstar volunteer, and Executive Director Anna recount a story from a number of years ago, when the two of them went out to dinner and a night of comedy. After plenty of laughter, they hopped in an Uber to head home.
Anna mentioned that she worked at Community Warehouse.
“Community Warehouse?!” their driver exclaimed. “I got my furniture from there!”
The driver told them that, until recently, she had been sleeping in the same car they were riding in. She had recently secured housing, gotten an appointment at the furniture bank, and picked out a white couch and other pieces that helped make her new place feel like home.
For 25 years, Community Warehouse has helped furnish homes for more than 125,000 neighbors. Chances are, if you haven’t received furniture from us yourself, someone you know has.
Here’s to 25 years of stories, connections, and a community that keeps showing up for one another. ❤️
