Dumpster Day is this weekend- Saturday, June 27th from 9AM-3PM at Glenhaven Park parking lot. Please plan to enter the parking lot through Siskiyou (via 81st or 82nd Ave).
This event will accept a wide variety of items, including most bulky household items, furniture, mattresses and box springs (mattress recycling provided by Bye Bye Mattress), most electronics (except tube TVs and monitors), propane tanks, household batteries, and metal scrap. Clean dry styrofoam will be collected for recycling. This event will also feature a Free Store of reusable items donated to the event. Donations are suggested but not required. Remaining items will be donated as much as possible to other local nonprofits including Community Warehouse and Mainspring Portland.

This event is still seeking additional volunteers. Come meet your community and help your neighbors. Snacks and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers, as well as Subway sandwiches for lunch. Volunteers participating for at least 1 shift can bring one donation-free load and of course have access to our “free pop-up shop”. Volunteer roles include: Greeters, Bulky Waste Collectors, Runners (transporting small items to the correct location), Free Shop organizers, Exit and Traffic Directors, and more! Any and all time gifted is appreciated.
This event is a fundraiser for Roseway Neighborhood Association and Madison South Neighborhood Association. Accepted forms of donations will include: cash, check, Venmo, Cash App, and credit card. Suggested donations:
-Small load from a car or small SUV: $25
-Small pickup or minivan: $30
-Full size truck, van, or full-sized SUV: $45
-Trailer only (in addition to vehicle donation): $35
-U-Haul truck, 15ft and up: $90 and up
Donations are encouraged, but not required. All proceeds are reinvested back into Roseway and Madison South communities.
