Warning: this group may cause excessive laughter, spontaneous camp songs, and unforgettable summer memories ☀️🎶
We asked them a few questions and here are their responses:

What’s your unique talent?
O: I can do thumbs up with my big toe.
N: Collaging! I got really into it a couple years ago and now I have piles and piles of magazines and scrapbooking materials.
K: I’m pretty good at identifying birds, and can even ID some by sound!
F: I can blow ring-shaped bubbles in the pool.
W: I can make a perfect grilled cheese sandwich.
D: I can paint cows.
B: I can recite 60 digits of pi from memory.
P: I can do a very loud popping noise with my tongue and write historical raps.

In a “Freaky Friday” situation, who would you like to be for a day?
O: Lainey Wilson, because I want to sing like her and I like country music.
N: I would like to be Rachel Zegler for a day! I would sing all day long to everyone I know.
K: I’d want to switch places with a worm, it would be neat to see the world through its eyes.
F: Sam Darnold (Seahawk’s quarterback).
W: Not a person… but I’ve always wanted to experience being my dog for a day!
D: Stevie Nicks circa 1970.
B: I’d want to be my twin brother to see how different his life is from mine.
P: I would love to be Jeff Probst and host Survivor! Since I was little, I’ve always said I wanted to be him when I grew up.

The countdown to camp is on, and our counselors are ready! ✨
These leaders bring energy, kindness, creativity, and so much camp spirit to every day. Get ready to meet the team that makes camp feel like home! 🏕️
We asked them a few questions and here are their responses:

If you could be any mythical creature, what would you be?
S: I'd be a seahorse but it's got a real horse head on a seahorse's body.
B: A selkie (turns into a seal!) because I love the ocean and it would be really fun to be a seal.
T: A dragon because they're super cool and I read a lot of dragon books growing up.
F: I'd be Sasquatch, solely for the purpose of getting to pose for blurry pictures.
A: A mermaid so I could spend all my time in the water!

What three things would you take to a deserted island?
S: I'd bring some water, a hatchet, and a radio.
B: I would take a treasure map, a water purifier, and a camera.
T: Unlimited sunscreen, a CD player that doesn't need electricity to work, and my entire K-pop CD collection.
F: A pair of headphones, something to play music with, and a deck of cards.
A: My Tevas, a ton of iced tea, and something to listen to music with.

Introducing a handful of our Unit & Program Coordinators! From organizing activities to supporting staff and responding to camper needs, they help create a safe, welcoming environment where staff & kids can thrive. ✨
We asked them a few questions and here are their responses:

What fictional character do you most relate to and why?
F: Probably Freddy Fazbear because he can seem tough but he is secretly an awesome singer and a playful guy!
Lotus: Rapunzel because she's adventurous and loves to try new things.
M: Snufkin from the Moomins. I admire his respect for nature, carefree attitude, and love for his friends.
T: I want to say Kat Stratford from 10 Things I Hate About You, but I am nowhere near her level of cool and unbothered.
Loam: Marshall Lee from Adventure Time/Fionna and Cake. I relate to him because of his taste in music and the spikes and patches on his clothes.

What's the most beautiful view you've ever seen?
F: When I went whale watching and saw a mother humpback whale and her calf. (Her name was Big Mama - you should look up her story!)
Lotus: The mountain range while skydiving!
M: The Great Geyser in Iceland, which is a super old and large geyser.
T: I really like the view of Bellingham Bay. There's the ocean, mountains, pine trees, and a sunset all in one.
Loam: Driving into downtown Portland at night. The lights reflecting off the river is so pretty.

We can't wait for you to meet them and our other Unit & Program Coordinators this summer at Camp Namanu!
