St. Rose School

St. Rose School As a mission of St. Rose Parish, St. Rose School educates each student as a unique child of God to know and live the Catholic faith and to achieve excellence.

Catholic education for PreK-8. Call for a tour! For more than 100 years, children have come to the simple brick schoolhouse at NE Alameda Street and NE 53rd Avenue to learn and grow through education, service, community and prayer. Today, St. Rose School (formerly Archbishop Howard School) is a thriving community with active, engaged families and a focus on lifelong learning and strong character development.

School starts next week! 🎒💙

Our teachers and staff are back on campus for Inservice Week, getting everything ready to welcome our students back to St. Rose!

What does Inservice Week look like?
🍎 Preparing classrooms for students
🤝 Gathering and reconnecting as a staff
📚 Learning, planning, and preparing for the year ahead

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to fill our classrooms and hallways with students again.

🙏 **Faith is part of our week at St. Rose School.**

Every Wednesday, our students come together for Mass—a time to pray, reflect, and grow as a community. Each class also takes a turn serving as **faith leaders**, participating in the readings, presenting the gifts, and helping lead our school community. 💙

Rooted in our Catholic faith, St. Rose School helps students grow in gratitude, compassion, service, and respect for others. And you don't have to be Catholic to belong here—families of all faith backgrounds are welcome.

**Faith. Community. Leadership.**

🤩 Staff Highlight 🥳

Mrs. Zogas, Mrs. Schuver, and Mr. Dylan are up in Seattle for the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Inspire conference! It’s a two-day conference empowering Catholic Education Staff. They attended seminars on admissions, marketing, fundraising, and leadership. They hope to bring so many fun ideas and actions to make St. Rose School an even better community!

Our new principal, Mrs. Jill Harris, shares three things she’s most excited about this year:

🍎 Welcoming and connecting with our incredible teachers and staff.
🇪🇸 Launching Spanish instruction for all grade levels.
💙 Seeing our hallways and classrooms filled with students and families once again.

There’s so much to look forward to, and we can’t wait to begin this new chapter together.
