This Thursday, learn more about a SNAP match program that nurtures communities and supports farmers. Double Up Food Bucks is a program that doubles the value of SNAP dollars on fresh produce at participating farmers markets, farm stands, and other locations.

Farmers Market Fund is hosting an info session about Double Up Food Bucks this Thursday (May 28th) at 11AM. Our Communications and Outreach specialist, Ayana Lance, will share tips, tricks, and tools for informing your community about the Double Up Food Bucks program. Double Up Food Bucks (Double Up) is a program that matches your SNAP purchases of fruit and vegetables dollar for dollar, up to $20 a day. That means when you pay with SNAP, you can get TWICE the fresh fruits and veggies!

This virtual event is an excellent opportunity to:

With Double Up Food Bucks, you can get DOUBLE the fruits and veggies when you pay with SNAP. Buy local produce directly from farmers and get MORE for LESS 🍓 🥕🥦

Double Up Food Bucks is a program that DOUBLES the amount of produce you can buy when you shop with SNAP. Double Up is administered by Farmers Market Fund in partnership with Oregon farmers markets and farm stands. When you pay with SNAP at participating Double Up farmers markets you can receive a $1 for $1 match on SNAP purchases of up to $20 per day, which can be spent on local fruits and vegetables. At participating farm stands you can get 50% off eligible produce, when you pay with SNAP.

FMF's ED, Rachael joined others from Oregon at Food Research & Action Center Anti-Hunger Policy Conference in DC this weekend. Together, the Oregon coalition met with our congress members (Senator Senator Ron Wyden and Representative Val Hoyle Val Hoyle featured here) to encourage them to vote NO on the House Ag Committee's version of a Farm Bill. This Farm Bill would seal the deal on harmful SNAP cuts and fails to support small scale farmers with land access, local purchasing funds, and conservation programs.

It was a pleasure to join Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon, Oregon Food Bank, and FoodCorps Oregon in advocating for our communities,our local farmers, and the Oregon food system.

FMF also lobbied to encourage Congress support a one-time $5M raise for GusNIP, the program which funds Double Up Food Bucks in our state.

Representatives are planning to vote on the Farm Bill as early as tomorrow. Now is the time to let your federal representatives know that we want a Farm Bill that reverses harmful cuts to SNAP, supports small scale farms, and expands funding for nutrition incentive programs!

Say hi to our 2026 currency!

For our winter market goers you may have already seen our new currency. As farmers markets begin to open throughout Oregon this spring, you'll see a lot more of the 2026 currency at Double Up participating farmers markets. Double Up Food Bucks 2026 currency expires 12/31/2026.

2025 Double Up Food Bucks are expired and can no longer be redeemed. SNAP wooden tokens acquired last year can still be redeemed as they do not expire.

Earlier this week, Alexis Molinari, FMF's Program Director, visited Hello Rose City! with and to talk more about supporting the local food system for communities and farmers. Farmers Market Fund, Oregon Food Bank and Oregon Farmers Market Association all work together to make sure people have choice and access when it comes to food.

Farmers Market Fund leads a SNAP matching incentive program called Double Up Food Bucks at participating farmers markets and farm stands across Oregon. When you shop with SNAP at participating Double Up locations, you can get DOUBLE the fresh produce.
