Application deadline extended to October 7th!

Farmers Market Fund is seeking New Board Members!

At Farmers Market Fund we strengthen Oregon’s food system to better serve people experiencing food insecurity. Applications are now open for those interested in board service! We are especially looking for board members who live outside of Portland and have expertise in:
• financial oversight fundraising
• organizational growth and development
• navigating risk and legal issues

Previous board service is encouraged but not required. Farmers, market managers, and those with direct experience with hunger are encouraged to apply!

FMF’s main program is Double Up Food Bucks, a SNAP matching program at farmers markets and farm stands across Oregon. Double Up is a triple win: families bring home more fruits and veggies, small and mid-sized farmers get a financial boost, and Oregon’s economy thrives.

Board members can expect to volunteer an average of 5 - 6 hours of their time per month through participation in board meetings and committee meetings.

Our success lies in our diversity: we encourage community members with different backgrounds, experiences, and passions to apply.

September is hunger action month. At Farmers Market Fund we believe that everyone deserves access to the fresh and local food they need to live well. We are committed to building a Oregon food system for everyone.

That's why we lead Double Up Food Bucks Oregon, a SNAP matching incentive program for fresh produce at participating farmers markets and farm stands across Oregon. Double Up is a triple win: families with low income eat more fresh food, local farmers gain new customers, and more money stays in the local economy.

Farmers Market Fund is proud to be one of the many organizations in Oregon dedicated to strengthening the local food system.

Did you know that when you pay with SNAP at Double Up participating farmers markets or farm Stands you can get DOUBLE the produce?

When you pay with SNAP at Double Up locations, you can get more of Double Up eligible items like fruits, vegetables, herbs, beans, mushrooms and food producing plant starts. At Double Up participating farmers markets, you can match up to $20 per market visit.

Say hello to our Double Up Voices Feature Market: Lincoln City Sunday Market LCSundayMarket ⭐️

Lincoln City Sunday Market is a vendor-run market, an official 501c organization run by a small and mighty team of six.

This market has been in the community for over two decades, with a brief hiatus in 2023. Lincoln City Sunday Market is not only a source of fresh produce, but is also a community gathering space. Farmers and craft vendors build relationships with their customers. Friends can meet up to watch live music performances. Neighbors can meet each other while learning more about resources at the community booth.

There’s still time to visit the market to experience the magic of community and fresh produce for yourself. Lincoln City Sunday Market is open Sundays from 10-2pm until October 11th. That's right! Double Up Food Bucks vouchers expire at the end of the year. With many participating Double Up farmers markets this fall, now is the time to use your Double Up Food Bucks vouchers.

Remember, Double Up Food Bucks vouchers can be spent at ANY participating Double Up market. So if you find yourself with extra Double Up Food Bucks to spend, you have until the end of the year (December 31st 2026) to use your Double Up Food Bucks vouchers at a participating Double Up market.
