Access Academy - Fundraising

To our greater community- On behalf of the ACCESS Academy Foundation, I would like to give a huge thank you to all of you for helping us have such an incredibly successful fundraising year!

We have raised $190K through the Auction & Trivia Night, two Give Campaigns, multiple smaller fundraisers such as the Read-a-Thon, Plant Sale and Bingo Night and through donations submitted through the PPS Fund website. This is truly an incredible feat!

As you are probably aware, the District has cut funding for several key positions for next year. Ensuring that our students do not lose crucial services provided by Counselor Tony and Librarian Elle has become the school’s priority.

We are so close! Currently, we only need $10K more to ensure that we meet our goal. To help us over the finish line, a generous donor will match up to $4000 in donations made between now and the end of the school year.

This is our last chance to use Foundation money to help fill the gap in PPS funding, so please don’t miss your last opportunity to directly impact the support our students get from our wonderful staff. Funds received after June 30th will no longer go to ACCESS directly, but rather be dispersed through the General PPS Fund.

The Mittleman Jewish Community Center has given so much to support both ours and so many schools in the community.

We have held our past two biggest fundraising events in their ballroom and they deliver such caring and quality support from start to finish!

As we are closing out our school year, they have topped it off by donating a 3-month family membership to their state of the art center so that we could raffle it off at our BINGO Night and School Potluck happening tomorrow on 5/31.

We are so grateful to everyone at the MJCC 🙏

Though we have been working long nights, weekends and more to try to deliver for our school on this final year that we can fundraise directly for ACCESS Staff that we know and live - We are about $15k shy of our goal to bring our Librarian/Media Specialist Elle Pan back next year at 0.75 so she can receive full benefits and our kiddos can have more library time. Mother’s Day is next weekend and nothing says “I Love You” like flowers (and produce!!!) Please take a look at the incredible organically grown plants that were lovingly tended by our ACCESS Science Teacher *and* Parent, Christina Cone! Our neighborhood McMenamins Fulton Pub & Brewery, will be giving back 50% of all profits to our school this coming Tuesday April 16th after 5 pm! Come say hi, order for pick up or even delivery and support our school. 🍻 (we really need an emoji for tater tots!!)
