Domestic Violence Awareness Month is a busy time here at Bradley Angle, but this work is too important to slow down!

Last night, Mackenzie, Sr. Program Manager at Bradley Angle, co-presented at See the Signs, Know the Resources: A Domestic Violence Community Conversation at the Gresham City Council Chambers. Together, community members came together to learn how to recognize the signs of domestic violence, support loved ones, and connect with vital resources.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re giving a huge shoutout to Lexi the Dog Coach- a beloved local business owner, devoted community member, and past Bradley Angle participant who is now paying it forward in a powerful way.

"Today, looking back from a place of peace, strength, and purpose, I want to give back in every way I can," said Lexi. Throughout October, $5 from every training class Lexi teaches will be donated directly to Bradley Angle to support survivors and our shelter and support programs.

NAYA’s Healing Circle creates space to break the silence surrounding domestic and sexual violence while fostering community strength, healing, and respect and balance in relationships.⁠ NAYA offers comprehensive safety planning, relocation, accessing basic necessities such as food and household items, navigating local resources and public benefits, and building cultural connection.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we stand with survivors, honor their journeys toward healing, and recognize the importance of culturally grounded, community-centered support.⁠

3,791 safe nights of shelter provided to survivors and their children through Bradley Angle this past year.

But a safe night is more than a number. It’s a night without fear. A night to breathe. A night to begin imagining what comes next. Last year, we increased our shelter stay from 60 to 90 days- providing survivors with 30 extra days to navigate what their next step is. And 92% of survivors served in our shelters transitioned into safe and stable housing.
