🌱 Calling all Black early childhood educators in Oregon!

The Black Excellence in Education Residency is coming May 22nd & 23rd, 2026 — and applications are open NOW.

Spend two days learning alongside the Black Excellence in Education cohort (a Portland State University & KairosPDX collaboration) practicing culturally-sustaining instruction and critical reflection in early learning classrooms.

To qualify, you must be:
• Currently employed as an early childhood educator in Oregon

Our Community Action Session (CAS) Gallery Walk was a powerful celebration of learning, leadership, and community! Our leaders took part in two rounds of CAS Partner Showcases—interactive, trade show-style experiences where they brought their learning to life through presentations, performances, and hands-on demonstrations.

We were honored to welcome our incredible community partners who continue to expand what’s possible for our leaders. Moments like these remind us what’s possible when community and learning come together. 🌟
