Ethos Ethos believes all kids deserve access to the benefits of music education. Ethos believes in building community through music. eight times since 2003.

We offer sliding scale lessons & classes from our school in North Portland and facilitate music outreach programs for students in Oregon’s underserved rural and urban areas. Founded in 1998 in Portland, Oregon, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides music lessons, multicultural performances and workshops to more than 7,000 students a year. We believe that all kids, regardless of socioeconomic

status or geographic location, deserve access to music education. Our organization employs eight administrative staff, ten full-time AmeriCorps members and 30 part-time music instructors. The President’s Commission on the Arts and Humanities has named Ethos one of the top 50 after-school arts programs in the U.S. To learn more about us, visit www.ethos.org.

Descubre cada día una tradición cultural diferente y enriquecedora en este viaje imaginario por América Latina. Los estudiantes aprenderán sobre música y artes mientras se sumergen en su segundo idioma (ya sea inglés o español). Durante toda la semana, los participantes de este campamento trabajarán en la creación de un mural que se instalará en una de las futuras áreas de Ethos. Visit a different, rich, cultural tradition each day on this Imaginary journey through Latin America. Students will learn about the music and arts as they immerse themselves in their second language (either English or Spanish). This camp will work on a mural throughout the week to be installed in one of Ethos' coming areas. As with all its offerings, Ethos' camps address sliding scale. In this exciting rock band camp, young musicians will explore playing in a band while collaborating with fellow campers to work towards an end of week performance. This year, campers will also be introduced to the basics of music production, learning how songs are recorded, layered, and brought to life through the use of free software platforms like bandlab, GarageBand, and Chrome music lab that they can continue exploring at home or at school. Ages 6-12
