Come experience stories exploring art, identity, community, and connection — including a short film exploring the bureaucracy of the afterlife, a video podcast exploring what autistic perspective can teach us about building more humane systems, and a studio visit with local artist Jade Novarino! Celebrate the artists and the creativity that makes community media possible.

Coming up on Sunday, June 14th: Come be in community and hear from Black clinicians working in serious illness care at an in-person or virtual screening of the first episode of Fabric of our Journey.

Palliative care is about how we want to live our best lives in the setting of serious illness. Through storytelling and bearing witness, learn how this caregiving is something that Black people have known for time immemorial.

Join us for one of two screenings and Q + As, one at 4pm and another at 7pm. A performance by Sebe Kan West African dance company will following the 4pm screening. Complementary bites and non-alcoholic beverages provided.

This months Microcinema is a screening of 'places in pieces vol. 4' by Jason Pappariella. Jason is a visiting artist and will be in person for a Q&A following the screening.

‘places in pieces vol. 4’ picks up where the series left off in 2011, as a non-narrative regionally focused meditation. This installment makes its way across Eastern and Central Europe, moth tracking from the Baltics to the Balkans, fluttering about the Caucasus region.

Register today for this June 1st screening.
