Get ready for a truly historic night at the The Abbey next weekend! This isn't just a concert - it's a celebration of the legendary Cotton Club era that put Portland's Black music scene on the national map.
The Cotton Club was THE place in the '60s and '70s, called the only nightclub on the West Coast with wall-to-wall soul.
You'll experience live music from The Legendary Beyons (50+ years strong), blues master Norman Sylvester, and the powerhouse Yugen Music Project featuring an all-star lineup. Plus DJ Jumbo Soul Remix spinning rare vinyl gems from the era.
Host Paul Knauls and MC Calvin Walker will guide you through stories and music that shaped our city's cultural legacy.
