The men, women and children in our long-term programs recently enjoyed a special night out at the Benedum Center to see The Lion King! 🦁

Moments like this are about more than a night out. They’re about trying something new, laughing with friends, experiencing joy and being part of a community.

It's a chance for our clients to see that life is about more than survival. It’s about making memories, discovering what’s possible and finding joy in the journey.

We’re so thankful to everyone who helps make moments like this possible for our clients!

🦃 Help us fill 1,600 Thanksgiving dinner boxes!

We’re getting ready to provide Thanksgiving dinner boxes to families in our community, and we’re still looking for 1,600 cans of cranberry sauce to help complete them.

Would you or your church, business, small group, or organization be willing to help?

If you’re interested, email Olivia at [email protected] for details.

Thank you for helping us make sure our neighbors have something to gather around this Thanksgiving. ❤️

Before the conversations begin, we're asking you to pray.

On October 8–9, our Executive Director Jerrel Gilliam will spend 24 hours on a bench listening, learning and having honest conversations about homelessness, addiction, food insecurity and so much more.

But before anyone takes a seat, we’re asking you to join us in praying for:

🙏 Every person who will sit on the bench
🙏 Everyone who will listen, whether in person or online
🙏 Open hearts and honest conversations
🙏That God would use this event to bring hope, understanding and change to our communities

This event needs more than a microphone, a camera and a bench. It needs God at the center of it all.

This made our day! 💙

Each week, our Food Pantry team visits different locations to bring fresh, nutritious food to neighbors who may have difficulty accessing it. Along the way, we get to build relationships and become part of their communities.

So, we couldn't stop smiling after we received this sweet message from our friends at Upper Rooms Apartments!

Moments like this are possible because of supporters like you. Thank you for helping us show up in communities across our region with food, compassion and care.

We were so excited to see Craig Wolfely's legacy honored during his induction into the Pittsburgh's Hall of Honor this weekend! 🖤💛

“He was so deserving and in so many ways, not just from his playing career, but on to the broadcasting career, and what he would have really wanted to be the most remembered for was his service and servant ability. And in the community and helping with Light of Life and all the amazing things he did beyond football,” Faith Wolfley said.

The Pittsburgh Steelers honored J.T. Thomas, Craig Wolfley, and Kevin Colbert during Sunday’s game against the Bengals, celebrating their lasting impact on the team.

We had the joy of celebrating several of our shelter guests who have taken significant steps forward in their recovery during our staff and client chapel service yesterday! 🎉

Through our Jump Start, Shelter+ and High Commitment Shelter programs, these men and women are continuing their journey toward healing, stability and a new life filled with hope.

We’re grateful for every step forward and every person who walks alongside them along the way. We were also blessed to welcome The Table Church for worship and a message from Pastor Christy Gibas that encouraged us all.

Please join us in celebrating what God has done and is doing in their lives. 🙌
