As nurses, leaders, and advocates, we honor the generations who fought for liberation and recognize the continued work required to advance health equity and create healthier communities for all.

The National Black Nurses Association remains committed to uplifting the voices of Black nurses, addressing health disparities, and advancing equitable healthcare.
On this Juneteenth, we reflect on our history, celebrate our progress, and recommit ourselves to building a healthier and more just future.

CEO Jada Shirriel, Center for Urban Breastfeeding Program Manager Ashli Hull, and Board Member Barbara Crosby attended in support of aspiring nursing students and the continued impact of Black nurses in our region.

Congratulations to the scholarship recipients and to Pittsburgh Black Nurses in Action for creating space to uplift, invest in, and celebrate future leaders in health care.
