I talked to a cancer patient who was told by his doctor that his bloodwork showed he needed a platelet transfusion. When he went to hospital to get it the hospital decided his platelet count wasn’t low enough to warrant the transfusion because they are low on O+ blood. People are seriously not getting the care they need because of this shortage! Surgeries can be delayed also. It is serious and everyone that can help should find a local blood drive or donation center and help our neighbors in need!
