Everyone has been asking us for Saturday African Dance classes, and we’re excited to finally make it happen! ❤️💛💚

Starting Saturday, September 12th, come dance, learn, connect, and build community with Sankofa Village for the Arts!

These classes are open to the community — whether you’re experienced, brand new, or simply looking for a joyful way to move and connect with African culture. Come as you are!

✨ We’ll also have guest teachers popping in throughout the year, giving you opportunities to learn different styles, techniques, and traditions.

Sankofa Village for the Arts has been a vital part of our community, offering affordable arts programs that uplift children, families, and neighbors. However, recent funding cuts and rising costs have put us in a tough spot. We’re struggling to keep classes free or low-cost, and tuition alone can’t cover our expenses. This affects everything from rent and utilities to maintaining instruments and providing scholarships. Without your support, we risk losing programs that have become a lifeline for so many. Every dollar donated will help us keep our doors open, support our instructors, and provide opportunities for youth to learn and grow.
