As National VA Research Week and May come to a close, we’re proud to reflect on a month dedicated to the people, partnerships, and purpose driving innovation for Veterans.
Throughout the month, the Veterans Health Foundation was honored to support and participate in events across our affiliated VA medical centers, including:
🔬 VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System’s National VA Research Week kickoff events, recognizing emerging researchers helping shape the future of Veteran health care.
⚾ Being acknowledged by the Pittsburgh Pirates Nonprofit of the Game, an opportunity to spotlight our mission and raise awareness for Veteran health research and education.
🎉 Celebrating the inaugural Research Week event at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center where we highlighted the expanding research opportunities for Veterans and were able to hear directly from a Veteran research participant grateful for the opportunity!
🩺 Honoring Clinical Trials Day by delivering appreciation baskets to providers and research teams whose work makes clinical trials possible and expands access to innovative treatments.
🇺🇸 Closing the month at the Butler VA Health Care System Veteran Appreciation Event, connecting with Veterans, families, caregivers, and community partners while sharing the impact of VA research and education.
Research changes lives. Every study, every Veteran participant, every investigator, and every partnership moves us closer to better treatments, improved outcomes, and a healthier future for those who served.
To our VA researchers, clinicians, staff, volunteers, supporters, and Veteran participants: thank you for advancing the health and well-being of Veterans, their families, and society.
