We are delighted to share that Caroline Kinsley’s article, “Music and Memory: First Steps Towards Documenting LGBTQ+ Choirs in Community Archives” has been published in the inaugural issue of the Journal of Q***r Choral Studies. Caroline is a soprano and section leader in Desert Voices Chorus and also serves on the board of directors. Thank you, Caroline for your exceptional scholarship and for your work in archiving LGBTQIA+ history in southern Arizona.

"One Word"

By celebrating who we are as a chorus, we realized that discovery starts with a single note. Authentically being ourselves allows us to find where we belong and transforms us through music.

As we West Coast Singers Lgbtq+ Chorus of Los Angeles were preparing for our concert, "Where We Find Ourselves: Songs of Discovery, Belonging & Transformation," we went behind the scenes and asked our WCS family to share one word describing what this chorus has given them.
