With the warm temperatures we’ve had over the 4th of July holiday, Pierre Fire found the perfect way to stay cool during our monthly training… Water Wars! 🚒

Teams of three firefighters battled it out to see who could push a suspended barrel across the line using nothing but their hose streams.

It may have looked like a giant firefighter water fight (because… it basically was!), but our members were sharpening their hose handling skills, nozzle control, communication, and teamwork while having a little friendly competition.

Great job to all of the members who were able to attend! We appreciate everyone who came out to train and have some fun while continuing to build the skills that make a difference when it counts.

PFD awarded Bella a $1,000 Educational Scholarship. She is going to USD for conservation biology.

Bella is a former cadet and her dad is currently serving the community as a member of the Pierre Rescue Squad.
