Silent Sundays are one of Arizona cycling’s best-kept secrets.
On the 4th Sunday of every month, Summit Road at South Mountain Park is closed to motor vehicle traffic, creating a unique opportunity for cyclists, walkers, runners, and families to enjoy one of the Valley’s most iconic destinations without cars.
From 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., the road is reserved for non-motorized recreation, giving riders a quieter, safer experience while taking in the incredible views that make South Mountain a favorite among Arizona cyclists.
Whether you’re training for your next event, introducing someone to cycling, or simply looking for a peaceful ride, Silent Sundays offer a chance to experience South Mountain in a completely different way.
