Our sweetest, best girl in the whole world earned her wings this past Sunday and flew off to the Rainbow Bridge. Dee was everyone’s favorite! Rescued from Maricopa County Animal Control in 2014, I had every intention of adopting out this deaf, Velcro pitty with the big brown eyes. After a few weeks the whole family fell head over heels in love and knew she would never leave. She’s slept with my youngest son since he was 7 years old, and was the goofiest girl who loved to give kisses and snuggles. She snored, kicked, ignored hand signals when she didn’t feel like obeying, scared strangers, and filled our lives with love and laughter. A couple of months ago she started having some issues. Her shoulder was swelling and radiology showed what they stated as cancer in her lungs, but the veterinarian thought it still could be valley fever despite a negative test. Unfortunately the meds didn’t help and she continued to decline. She made it through our recent house move and the kids and I were able to spend a lot of time loving on her over spring break. We are going to feel this loss for a long time. 💔😭
