Our wonderful volunteer, Moj Gan has started the water pipeline excavation project during her time in Magooli Village! This is a project Mojgan feels passionately about and we are very grateful for the support. As the workers have started to lay pipelines, community members are already benefitting, as they’ve been able to collect water. We still need about $1800 USD to fully complete this project! Our dear friends and supporters,
Meet Gabriel! Gabriel is a student in our top class, and he is very happy to be at school. He participates actively in school activities and enjoys spending time with his friends. He is especially active in music and dancing. It is wonderful to see him so happy, participating with the other children and feeling included.

Gabriel had a challenging start. Gabriel lives with his mother, who has cared for him on her own since his father rejected him because he was born with a disability. To make matters worse, many schools in the area rejected him due to his physical limitations. When his mother heard about our school, she approached CCCU and asked if Gabriel could enroll. Of course we said yes! And we love having Gabriel be a part of our community.

A HUGE thank you to our friend Murray in the UK who donated to Pauline and her two young girls. They now have a new supply of food and hygiene supplies. We are eternally grateful. Peter, one of our sponsored children, was selected to represent the Namayingo district at the national level in the Boccia Games. We are proud to share that our district team won a trophy at the national competition! This is a wonderful achievement for Peter and the entire district! Thanks to a very kind couple of donors, we were able to distribute materials to five, vulnerable children.

Each of the five children received a mattress, bedsheets, a blanket, a mosquito net, and a wooden bed. We are grateful this support, which has made a meaningful difference in the lives of these children!

And that’s a wrap on term two of the school here at the Magooli Children’s Education Center! The students and teachers are excited for break and proud of how everyone performed this term! We thank our generous donors for contributing to our school year costs as we reflect back on this year so far! We are also so grateful for everyone who contributed to GlobalGiving’s July Bonus Day, as these funds have enabled us to start the construction of a washroom for our male students.
