Palmer Doggie Depot Palmer Doggie Depot is a volunteer-run neighborhood dog park located on Palmer between Frankford & Fr And play!

A place where dogs can meet other dogs (and sometimes pigs). Palmer Doggie Depot (PDD) is a dog park located south of the Parks Department’s Shissler Recreation Center, at the intersection of Palmer and Blair Streets. This park is a free neighborhood amenity for all dogs and their owners. Behind the scenes a dedicated band of volunteers, made up of Fishtown and Kensington residents, is working ste

adily to make PDD even better. PDD is sustained solely by individual donations and grants. We receive no funding from the City’s Parks Department; instead we rely on the support of the Depot’s everyday users. To date we’ve raised sufficient resources to remove the park’s asphalt and arranged for the majority of its disposal, installed a double-entry safety gate and a variety of small landscaping projects. Future planned improvements include a doggie water fountain, additional lighting, information center & landscaping – but we need your help for these items! NOTE: As of September 2014 the PDD is an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

We’re looking for passionate volunteers to join our Board of Directors and help keep our park a welcoming, safe, and fun space for everyone.

Whether you’re interested in planning events, fundraising, communications, park improvements, or simply giving back to our amazing dog community, we’d love to have you involved!

Please, for the love of all that is fluffy, stay inside and keep the walks short (just for potty breaks). Let's hit the park again when it cools down!
