🎭 Our 2nd Grade Lions are bringing reading to life!

Ms. B's class has been having so much fun with Reader's Theatre! Students are practicing a play that explores the important lesson of not judging a book by its cover.

Along the way, they're building reading fluency, practicing expression, and learning to listen carefully to one another.

We love seeing our Lions learn and grow in creative ways! 💙 💛

🔬 First Grade is making some noise in science!

Our 1st Grade Lions finished their first science lesson by learning all about sound, vibrations, and the difference between loud and soft sounds.

Then they put what they learned to the test! Using a metal cup, rice, and a spoon, they created their own drums and watched the rice move as the vibrations traveled through the sound. 🥁

We love seeing our Lions learning through hands-on experiments! 💙💛

👩‍🍳 Vetri Cooking Club is back! 🍿

Thanks to Chef Megan and Chef Keegan, our students are back in the kitchen learning new skills and exploring flavors from around the world.

For their first class, they made homemade ranch dressing, practiced cutting fresh veggies, and whipped up perfectly seasoned popcorn. A pretty delicious way to kick off another year of Cooking Club! 💙 💛

Our 2nd Grade engineers were busy building, testing, and problem-solving! 🌉

Working in small groups, students explored different materials and designed their own bridges, discovering what makes a structure sturdy and strong. Inspired by *Rosie Revere, Engineer*, they learned an important lesson along the way: when something doesn’t work, engineers learn from it, make changes, and try again!

Great teamwork and creative thinking, 2nd Grade! 💙 💛 🦁
