Project Safety Net Project Safety Net is a collaborative community network dedicated to youth resiliency, wellbeing and suicide prevention in Mid-Peninsula.

MISSION: Project Safety Net (PSN) mobilizes community support and resources in Palo Alto for youth suicide prevention and mental wellness. We are a coalition working on community education, outreach, and training; access to quality youth mental health services; and policy advocacy. Our work is:
• facilitated by ongoing collaboration, coordination, and communications;
• enhanced by evaluation and shared measurement; and
• built on a backbone of sustainability for collective impact. VISION: Young people are empowered, in partnership with the whole community, to advocate for themselves and their peers. Youth suicide is ended. Stigma is non-existent, and high-quality mental health services are culturally-relevant, accessible, and well-utilized. We envision a community where youth and young adults feel safe, supported, and accepted.

Exciting News! Project Safety Net is joining Youth Community Service! Moving forward, we'll operate as one organization with a combined staff and board.

Together, we'll unite PSN’s community-led coalition and efforts to mobilize support for youth su***de prevention with YCS’s longstanding commitment to developing youth well-being through service-learning, community connection and leadership development.

As longtime partners, we're excited to deepen our relationship and realize our shared vision of a world where youth are safe, supported, accepted, and equipped to shape their own futures.
