We are delighted to announce that “Concerto for Two Flutes and Orchestra” by Palo Alto Philharmonic’s former Composer-in-Residence, Lee Actor, has been awarded Second Prize in the 2025 American Prize for Orchestral Composition.

Commissioned by Palo Alto Philharmonic in 2019, the work was premiered in 2022 by Ráyo Furuta and Natalie Haworth-Liu. You can watch the premiere performance here:
