God Our Father, Christ Our Redeemer, the Holy Spirit Our Comforter, Humankind Our Family. The African Methodist Episcopal Church has a unique and glorious
history. It was unique in that it is the first major religious denomination in the Western World that had its origin over sociological and theological beliefs and differences. It rejected the negative theological interpretations which rendered persons of African descent second class citizens. Theirs was a theological declaration that God is God all the time and for every body. The church was born in protest against slavery - against dehumanization of African people, brought to the American continent as labor. The Mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed.

The Bethel AME Church family extends our heartfelt prayers, love, and deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our beloved member Ruth Holland, who has transitioned from labor to reward. SIs. Ruth was a vital member of our church family. As a long time Bethel member, she served as a class leader, intercessory prayer leader, choir member, musician, Steward board member, and Senior Ministry member among many other things.

Ruth loved the Lord and loved praising the Lord. We will miss her. Bethel is thankful for having her apart of our church family.
During this difficult time, we ask our Bethel family and friends to keep her family lifted in prayer, offering love, strength, and comfort as they navigate this season of grief. The service information is as follows:
