Big announcement coming soon!

Perhaps our greatest achievement restoring nature in the city to date has been installing this MiniNature Reserve at the Oxnard Public Library.

A little over two months after this garden was installed, we can already see nature reclaiming its rightful space in . Native strawberries are ripening, dark eyed juncos are scavenging, and painted ladies are feeding on the wildflowers. And now just before summer, a beautiful addition to the garden is on its way that will help future generations appreciate its importance. Keep following our page, to learn what it is.

This garden was a joint effort between , and .

spread cover mulch donated by . And Parks staff removed the old struggling shrubs.

Plants were sourced from local nurseries including , , Valley Growers Nursery, and . and seeds for wildflowers come from

And of course we can't forget all of the volunteers who participated in the planting, hand watering, and advocacy of this garden.

While waiting for the announcement, if you would like to help us continue in our mission to restore nature in the city, please consider donating to one of our fundraisers at the link in the bio. We have one to give away native plant kits next fall, one to help the 110 orange, and more.

NATIVE PLANTS DON'T NEED PERMISSION!

Hot tip: a lot of cities don't actually prohibit people from planting in parkways (different from medians) adjacent to residential or commercial property. Make sure to check the laws of your city so you can guerrilla garden strategically.

Active fundraisers in bio:

- Help us raise money to give away native plants during October-March.

- Help Christian buy seeds to make a superbloom on the 115 in Los Angeles.

It is SOOO easy to bring nature back into the city!

I planted this MiniNature Reserve way back in November 2025 and I NEVER watered it.

To help us continue giving away free seeds and native plants next fall to guerrilla gardeners, schools, small businesses, and other community spaces across SoCal, please consider donating to our "MiniNature Reserve Kits Giveaway Fund" at the linktree in our bio.

🌺 You can also support our mission by purchasing by clicking the link in the bio and using promocode “mininaturereserve” for a 10% discount.

Thank you so much for an incredible year!

Although we have run into some good trouble lately, when you look at the gardens that we've planted and the life and color they provide, it's undeniable that we are making a difference. And the only reason we have been able to do any of that is because of you and your support.

In 2026, our main new year's resolution is to inspire you all to go out and start your own guerrilla garden projects.

We are confident that with your help, we will be able to paint the town orange 🧡 and all the beautiful colors from our native plants. ♥️💛💚💙🩷🩵🧡

Come to the nursery any Saturday 10am-2pm and we will get you set up with everything you need for your project.
