Mondays can feel heavy when you carry the weight of memory. Today I remind myself that healing isn’t linear—it’s layered, like pages in a book. ✨

Thursdays are for therapy.

“Piece by piece, we gather the fragments of our shattered hearts, slowly rebuilding our lives after the loss of a loved one. In each step forward, we find strength, resilience, and the courage to carry their memory with us.”

Before you go to sleep tonight, think of your last conversation with your loved one. If you could go back to that moment, what would you say? What would you want them to know about you today? Take this time to write them a letter. Tell them your favorite moments with them and anything else you can think of.

This exercise is designed to give you an opportunity to express your emotions and encourage reflection on loss and grief.

Over a decade has passed since a tragic incident unfolded, leaving a family desperate for closure. Shockingly, the perpetrator responsible for Pierce's untimely demise has yet to face justice. We implore anyone with information regarding this heinous crime to come forward and assist in bringing closure to Pierce's grieving family. You can reach out to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office at (405) 713-1017 or send an email to [email protected]. Rest assured, all tips will be treated with utmost confidentiality.

This is Deontae DeJuan Thonas, Sr aka “Stretch”
Stretch had a smile that could light a whole room…and he loved showing it off.
He graduated from Star Spencer High School where he was a state champion basketball player.
He was a loving son, a brother, and a father to 3 handsome young men.
Oftentimes when our young men are killed they are still not seen as victims, but deduced to their mistakes. Painted as blemishes in our community.
Today, SBT would like to say that YOU are loved, your life mattered, YOU matter.
On March 27, 2022 Deontae became homicide #16 of 73 in OKC, but to us he will always be Stretch.
Remembering you 💙🕊️🙏🏾
