Reaching Souls International We strategically partner with local leaders around the world to effectively spread the Gospel to their communities. We believe that shouldn’t be the case.

The urgency of the Gospel message is clear throughout Scripture. But, in today’s world, there are many who have yet to hear it, let alone put their faith in it. Reaching Souls International began as an answer to the prayer our founder, Jimmy Hodges, prayed over many years: that the Lord would reveal to him the most fruitful ministry strategy to reach souls for Christ. The Lord answered that prayer when Jimmy applied Paul’s instructions in 2 Timothy 2:2 to communities where we could come alongside local church leaders, who are already doing their best to reach their own people for Christ. From the very beginning, this winning strategy was the blueprint for Reaching Souls. We believe nobody is more effective or efficient in reaching a people group for Christ than its own members. We strategically support more than 2000 local church leaders with an unquenchable passion for evangelism, who already understand not only the language but also the cultural and spiritual context
of their communities. By partnering with them in this way, we are able to be more efficient in spreading the Gospel, intentional discipleship, and investing in the next generation of evangelists. Through ongoing training, financial support and accountability, we come alongside evangelists already relationally connected to the people around them with the resources they need to maximize their mission and expand the body of Christ around the world. The time is coming when God will extend the last invitation for the lost to come and be saved by His grace. If believers do not tell the Gospel story, it will not be told. The souls of people everywhere depend on it. Reaching Souls International’s mission is to bring as many people as possible to Christ while using the most effective and efficient methods available.

God is a God of restoration.

Joel 2:25 reminds us that the years we may look back on with regret, loss, or sorrow are not beyond His reach. What feels wasted to us is not wasted in the hands of God.

He is able to redeem what has been broken, restore what has been lost, and bring new life where we thought there was no hope.

We saw a beautiful picture of this in Mama D’s story yesterday. At 75 years old, God met her with His grace and began transforming her life.

Whatever your past holds, remember this: God is still able to restore.

At 75 years old, Mama D had lived for years under the grip of alcohol. B**r had become part of her daily life, while increasing memory problems left her family deeply concerned about her future.

But God was not finished with her story.

During an evangelistic outreach in the DR Congo, Mama D heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As she heard about God’s love, forgiveness, and the hope found in Christ, the Holy Spirit touched her heart.

That day, she surrendered her life to Jesus.

From that moment, everything began to change. Mama D completely abandoned alcohol and began walking in a new life with Christ. More than three months later, her transformation continues to encourage those around her. She has developed a vibrant prayer life, a love for God’s Word, and a desire to live according to God’s will.

And perhaps one of the clearest signs of her new life is the way she now responds when others hurt her. Even when her children disappoint her, she chooses patience, love, and forgiveness instead of bitterness.

At 75, Mama D found new life in Christ.

Her story reminds us that it is never too late for God’s grace to transform a life.

Please pray for Mama D as she continues to grow in Christ, and for the National Missionaries who faithfully share the Gospel with people in their own communities.

Yesterday, we shared the story of Mr. B, a man who had experienced the deep pain of loneliness and abandonment.

His story reminds us of a truth that is easy to forget when life feels empty or difficult: we are never alone.

People may leave. Circumstances may change. We may even feel forgotten by those we thought would always be there.

But God’s promise remains:

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

What a beautiful promise to hold onto.

If you are feeling alone today, we hope you know this: God sees you. God knows you. And He has not forgotten you.

His presence does not depend on our circumstances. His love does not disappear when others walk away.

One of the most moving encounters our National Missionaries have shared with us was a visit with Mr. B, an elderly man living alone.

His children and much of his family had abandoned him, leaving him to face old age on his own. He also suffered from a painful condition in his leg that made even everyday activities difficult. His loneliness was not only physical; it had left a deep wound in his heart.

When our National Missionaries arrived, they simply listened. They gave him the opportunity to share his story, his pain, and the sadness he carried.

Then they shared something he desperately needed to hear: the love of Jesus.

They told him that although people may abandon us, God never will. Jesus welcomes those who place their trust in Him and promises to remain with His people.

As Mr. B listened to the Gospel, tears filled his eyes. He realized that even though his family had forgotten him, God had never forgotten him.

That day, Mr. B surrendered his life to Christ and accepted Jesus as his Savior.

Afterward, his face reflected a peace that had not been there before. He shared that he now knew he would never be alone again because Christ would walk with him every day. He also expressed a desire to continue learning from God's Word and become part of a congregation.

His circumstances did not instantly change. His leg was still painful, and his family had not suddenly returned. But something far greater had happened: his heart had been transformed, and his soul had been saved.

Mr. B may have felt forgotten by the people around him, but he was never forgotten by God.

We give all glory to God for his life and pray that the Lord continues to surround him with people who will encourage him and remind him that he will never walk alone.

Freedom in Christ isn't determined by our circumstances.

Some people live behind prison walls. Others are held captive by fear, shame, addiction, bitterness, or regret. But Jesus offers a freedom that reaches deeper than any chain this world can create.

True freedom is found in Him.

Breaking Prison Chains

The prison walls were impossible to ignore. But our National Missionary, Paul, reminded the men gathered there that the strongest chains aren't always made of steel.

As he shared from the Gospel of Luke, he spoke about the freedom only Jesus can give, the kind that reaches beyond prison cells and transforms hearts. He reminded the inmates that their past does not define their future, and that God's grace is available to every person who calls on Him.

When the invitation to follow Christ was given, 27 men chose to surrender their lives to Jesus.

The celebration didn't end there. Those same men asked for something more. They asked for discipleship. They want to continue growing in their faith, and our team is prayerfully working toward regular visits to encourage and equip them.

No prison is too secure. No heart is too hardened. No one is beyond the reach of God's redeeming love.

Please pray for these 27 new believers as they begin walking with Christ.
