Rainbow Room - Odessa Community Partners for Children The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) provides a staff member and the actual location for the Rainbow Room.

The Rainbow Room in Odessa is an emergency resource room located at Child Protective Services (DFPS) to assist with the children that are brought in to CPS/foster care. The coordinator and the Community Partners board members network with the community as ambassadors of both the agency and the volunteer board, interacting with caseworkers to facilitate action that will benefit the children and the

ir families. It is the goal of Community Partners to increase community awareness regarding child abuse and help children grow up to be healthy, productive adults.

Tomorrow marks the "ONE MONTH LEFT" time frame of our school supply drive. Check out our last post for a list of the items we're striving to gather. If any of our friends or followers would like to contribute, items can be dropped at the office at 2525 N. Grandview on regular weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm.

School's out for the summer and we have a Throwback Thursday moment. Folks from Greenwood High School spent time with us at the Rainbow Room about a month ago, chipping in wherever we needed a hand.

Today was the day we chose for our annual staff appreciation luncheon at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We enjoyed the ☘️ St. Patrick's Day ☘️ theme and we are pretty sure folks enjoyed their lunch - there was a lot of laughter and talking in the BEST way. 🌈 ☘️ 🌈

Our friends at Reagan Elementary are back at school following the holidays, of course. We stopped by last week with some 'thank you' cookies for the staff - their steadfast support with their annual drive to stock our Rainbow Room is a huge blessing.
