🌟 What an Amazing Week! 🌟

This week, we had the incredible opportunity to pour into the youth at Odessa Alternative Center, TLCA Midland Junior High & High School, OC Tech, and OC Academy for Red Ribbon Week. 💪🏽❤️

Hearing families share the stories of their loved ones—lives forever changed by fentanyl—reminded us once again why this mission matters so deeply. Those moments of honesty and healing truly change lives and open eyes.

Every conversation, every tear, every hug this week was a reminder that awareness saves lives.
Because the message is still the same and it will never change:
🚨 FENTANYL KILLS 🚨

Let’s keep showing up, speaking up, and standing together. 💔➡️💪🏽

Why should YOU, someone who has no history of addiction, carry Narcan?

• For the teenage girl, who was experimenting at the party Whose friends drug her out of the car and left her in your front yard.

• For your best friend’s brother – who they love unconditionally, no matter how many times he’s been to rehab.

• For your grandma, who forgot how much of her pain medication she took.

• For your toddler, when you accidently left the pain medication on the table while juggling the 32 other things you have going on.

• For the boy at the party, who didn’t know his ma*****na was laced in fentanyl

• For your student who’s been struggling and hasn’t returned from the bathroom in over 20 minutes.

• For your neighbor, who’s son is laying unconscious on their dining room floor.

• For your best friend from high school, who grew up in an abusive home & was given her first drug from her parents.

• For your dog, who ate a thrown bag of he**in on your daily walk.

• For your daughter, who was raised in a perfectly normal home….. but still turned to drugs.

• For the little boy, who will never see his parent again, never get read another bedtime story by his mommy or play catch with his daddy. For the little girl, who will never see her mommy at her ballet recital or ride on her daddy’s shoulders.

• For humanity.

It’s like a fire extinguisher. There may never be a fire, but if there is you definitely want to make sure you have it.

This week, we came together for a beautiful and moving memorial honoring our local loved ones whose lives were tragically taken by Fentanyl. We do this every year with Drug Induced Homicide Inc.. Each empty chair held more than just a name—it held a story, a memory, and a reminder that these lives will never be forgotten.

But it was more than a memorial. Families who share this heavy grief gathered side by side, finding comfort in one another. Together, we laughed, we cried, and we reminded each other that none of us walk this journey alone. Although we have many angels, we do not have many chairs so we just do this for the locals. We honor many lives, lost to Fentanyl at every school presentation and every event that we hold. Every single life matters.

As the evening closed with a candlelight vigil, the glow of the candles carried both sorrow and hope—hope that through unity, awareness, and love, we can protect others and honor those we’ve lost.

🕯️💜 Though the chairs were empty, our hearts were full—with love, remembrance, and the power of community.

Thank you to our 1:11 families and friends. They work tirelessly at all events, and especially this one getting up before the sunrise to make sure this is all set up. Such an amazing group of people! We are all truly like family.

Thank you to D'Kache Rose flower shop for donation of roses for each chair. Thank you to with It’s Party Customs for chair covers and thank you for chairs. We are so grateful!

The 1:11 Project – Annual Empty Chair Campaign
📍 Ector County Courthouse
🗓 Friday, September 26th | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
🕯 Candlelight Vigil at 7:30 PM

Each year, The 1:11 Project hosts the Empty Chair Campaign—a powerful memorial to honor the lives lost to fentanyl and substance abuse. Every empty chair represents a loved one who should still be here with us, a life cut short, and a family forever changed.

On Friday, September 26th, we will set up at the Ector County Courthouse from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, inviting the community to walk through the display, reflect, and pay respects to the countless lives represented.

At 7:30 PM, we will gather for a Candlelight Vigil—a moment of compassion, unity, and remembrance. Together, we will light the darkness in honor of those we’ve lost and in support of those still struggling.

We invite everyone in the community to attend:
• Come during the day to view the memorial and reflect on its impact.
• Join us in the evening for the vigil to stand side by side in love, compassion, and hope.

Your presence matters. Together, we can raise awareness, honor the lives gone too soon, and strengthen our fight against the fentanyl and substance abuse epidemic.

đź’ś Because no chair should ever have to be empty.

Juneteenth 2025: A Celebration of Freedom, Healing & Self-Worth. This year’s Juneteenth Parade was more than just a celebration — it was a movement. The 1:11 Project , Virtue Us Investments, The Village and Making an Impact proudly showed up to represent not only the fight against Fentanyl and substance abuse, but also the power of positive self-talk, mental health advocacy, and radical self-love.

This photo says it all:“I AM WORTHY OF LOVE.”

As we rode through the street, we weren’t just raising awareness — we were speaking life into our community. Into our youth. Into those who may have never heard that they matter, that they are seen, and that they are enough.Fentanyl awareness and mental health go hand in hand.

Healing begins with how we talk to ourselves. At The 1:11 Project, our message is clear:You are worthy. You are loved. You are needed.

Thank you to everyone who made this Juneteenth a success. The energy was unmatched, the love was loud, and the message was received. Let’s keep speaking life — 1 life at a time. Impacting lives 1 by 1 💛🖤❤️💚

A big THANK YOU to AGR Trucking for donating a truck and trailer for us again!

đź’” losing teens to Fentanyl.
This is the heartbreaking reality we face.

This is why we do what we do.
This is why The 1:11 Project continues to host community events, partner with local rehab centers, treatment facilities, mental health professionals, and the recovery community.

We’re not just reacting—we’re fighting to prevent the next tragedy.

We don’t just need families who’ve lost someone.
We need you—the teachers, the neighbors, the business owners, the mentors—anyone who cares about our youth and our future.

Be a voice. Be a light. Be an advocate.
Let’s rise together and protect our communities before another family gets the call no parent should ever receive.
