Had a great time at the Odessa YMCA Annual Healthy Kids Day. Shared information about CEF Ministries like the GOOD NEWS CLUB (GNC), Christian Youth in Action (CYiA), 5-Day Club, handed out devotional books for kids, Gospel pamphlets, and healthy snacks.

Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) is a program designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. You will attend a one to two week training school where you will learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child’s level, counsel a child for salvation and lead a dynamic club ministry for kids. Components of this club include teaching a Bible lesson, a real-life missionary story and a Bible verse as well as leading songs, games and a fun review time.

After this training, you will return to your local community and teach clubs at various locations with a team of other young people (5-Day Clubs). These clubs take place out in the community with predominantly unsaved kids who don’t regularly attend church. You will be able to take the light of the Gospel to them in their apartment complexes, day care centers, neighborhoods, schools and other community locations. Depending on the state you serve in, you will teach clubs from one to five weeks during the summer.

Ask us about "The Mailbox Club." What is the Club about? It is a Bible correspondence club. Bible lessons are sent to the student through the mail. The student reads the lesson, fills out the question page and mails it back. The question page is graded and returned with the next lesson.
One of the strengths of The Mailbox Club lessons is that they are always "field tested" by our own office as we actively use them with thousands of students around the country. Today we have 21 courses for people of all ages, beginning at age four through senior citizens!

Good News Club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community enters, churches, apartment complexes, just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parent's permission.
Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press . This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson's theme.
As with all CEF ministries, the purpose of Good News Club is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.
