Three months old, four tiny white paws, and the sweetest eyes we’ve ever seen. 🥹❤️

Little Raya is looking for a foster or forever home, and she’ll be at our Open House tomorrow from 1–4 PM.

Raya is an adorable mixed-breed pup with so much growing and learning ahead of her. Like all puppies, she’ll need patience, consistency, continued training, plenty of positive experiences, and someone available at least every three hours for potty breaks, playtime, and guidance.

‼️Right now, adoptions and foster homes are at a low, and we have so many wonderful dogs who need somewhere to go. If you’ve been thinking about fostering or adopting, we’d love for you to come meet Raya and our other dogs tomorrow. ❤️🙏🏼

Today’s the day! 🐾✨ Starting soon ✨

Come shop the Bernal Heights Neighborhood-Wide Garage Sale and help us raise money for the dogs of Rocket Dog Rescue, including sweet Nedra and the heart surgery she needs. ❤️

We’ll have vintage finds, cool clothes, pet stuff, Rocket Dog merch, unique and unusual treasures, gifts, and so much more. Every purchase helps support the animals in our care.

And of course, we’ll have some adorable adoptable dogs and puppies stopping by too! Come shop, say hello, get some cuddles, and maybe even meet your new best friend.

This little face is looking for his happily ever after. 💛🥰

Two-year-old Papaya has settled beautifully into his foster home and is learning just how good it feels to have a soft bed, a peaceful place to relax, and people who make him feel safe.

At just 10 pounds, Papaya is a sensitive little guy who would love a calm, patient home where he can continue gaining confidence at his own pace. He appreciates having his own space and would do best with an understanding family and older, dog-savvy kids.

He’ll need continued work on his leash skills and basic commands, but he’s already showing us how much he can flourish when given the time, love, and security he needs.

His foster home has been such a wonderful stepping stone. Now we’d really love to find the home that gets to be his for good.❤️

It’s hard not to notice Madeline. 🤍✨🤍

She turns heads everywhere she goes, but it’s her fun-loving personality that really makes people fall for her.

Madeline loves being part of whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a drive across town, or a weekend adventure, she’s happiest right by your side.

At 60 pounds, she’s playful, smart, affectionate, crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is doing a wonderful job with her house training. She’s also done well meeting other dogs and has politely given a cat plenty of space after being hissed at.

Madeline can be a little cautious when someone new comes into her home, but with a little patience, she settles in beautifully and quickly shows what a loving, loyal companion she is.

She’s looking for a foster or forever home that will include her in everyday life and love her as much as she’ll love you.❤️❤️❤️

Our sanctuary is critically full, and today we need our community more than ever. 🙏🏼❤️

These are just two of the dogs hoping to find foster homes today.

🌟Xander was scheduled to be euthanized at the Fresno shelter yesterday. We couldn’t let that be the end of his story, so now he’s safe with us, but he desperately needs a foster home. He’s a sweet, friendly, cuddly boy who can be a little timid when he’s startled, but all he really wants is a soft place to land and someone to help him feel safe.

🌟Then there’s Peanut. This sweet 10-year-young Chihuahua mix lost the only home he knew when his mom had to move and couldn’t take him with her. Understandably, he was confused at first, but his personality is already starting to shine. He’s potty trained, dog and cat friendly, loves his stuffed toys, enjoys long naps, and is happiest simply being by your side.

‼️Our sanctuary is at capacity, and we urgently need foster homes. Every dog who leaves with a foster family opens a kennel so we can save another life.

Whether you can foster short term or a little longer, you are truly making the difference between a dog spending their days in a kennel or in a home where they can finally relax.❤️‍🩹

Rufus is on his way to Rocket Dog, and we can’t wait to begin his glow-up. ✨❤️

This sweet Shar-Pei mix was found as a stray and has clearly had a rough road. He’s listed as 8 years old, but we think he may actually be a little younger, life has simply been a little harder on him than it should have been.

At around 50 pounds, Rufus is wonderful with other dogs and already has us completely smitten. His glow-up will include plenty of love, good food, and the veterinary care he’s been missing. We’ll be repairing his cherry eye, getting his skin healthy again, and making sure he finally gets everything he’s always deserved. We can’t wait to watch this sweet boy shine. ✨

🌟Now all he needs is a soft place to land.🌟

We’re hoping to find Rufus a foster home where he can rest, recover, and start this next chapter surrounded by kindness. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a rescue dog’s transformation, this is your chance. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a dog realize they’re finally safe.❤️

We’d like to introduce you to Pickles… and his ears. 🥹

3 month old Pickles is equal parts adorable, goofy, and impossible not to smile at. With those oversized ears and sweet little face, he’s ready to find a foster or forever home where he can grow up surrounded by love.

Like every puppy, Pickles will need patience, consistency, continued training, and plenty of positive experiences as he learns about the world. A home where someone is available every 2–3 hours for potty breaks, playtime, and guidance will help set him up for success.
