Spotlight: Baywell Wellness Center (Baywell Health Community) 💜

This Overdose Awareness Month, we're highlighting the community partners helping expand access to life-saving resources across Alameda County.

Baywell Wellness Center is a nonprofit community health clinic in West Oakland. Through its Community Need Response Team, Baywell connects community members to care, provides rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, distributes naloxone at community events, and keeps its Naloxone Stand Box stocked and accessible.

As a Naloxone Stand Box partner with the Alameda County Behavioral Health Department, Baywell helps make free naloxone available to the community. One patient shared that after picking up naloxone from Baywell, she was able to use it to save her grandchild's life during an overdose—a powerful reminder of why expanding access to naloxone matters.

Thank you,Baywell Health Community, for helping make overdose prevention and recovery resources more accessible in our community. 💜
