GirlVentures Annual Fundraiser is fast approaching and we hope you will be able to attend the celebration!
This is another critical moment in being able to create a sustainable financial future for this small but mighty non profit organization.

We have a few ways that we are welcoming support from our incredible community for this fundraiser.

Purchase tickets--On sale via our LinkTree or head to girlventures.org

Donate to Auction or become a Sponsor-- We are still seeking donation items for the auction part of the event. Donating auction items or Sponsoring the evening is a great way to support us and advertise your business, vacation rental, or product to the GV community.

Volunteer--We need volunteers to help with set up and tear down and spotting bids during the auction. The more the merrier and we get it done together!

Donate-- Every donation makes a difference and ensures we can continue to sustain and grow as a non profit organization that serves youth in the outdoors.

Fall Courses Open for Registration!

Explore Outside and Girls* Climb On will be starting this October!

We are looking forward to returning back to Pacific Pipe in Oakland and Movement in San Francisco for Girls* Climb On.
For this course youth are paired with mentors that support our social emotional curriculum while helping our young people become more confident in their climbing skills.

Explore Outside starts at the GirlVentures office and heads to the beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore and other Bay Area parks. This course consists of several weekend day trips, including one overnight kayak expedition on Tomales Bay.

GirlVentures is a grateful recipient of the Explore the Coast grant program, provided by the California State Coastal Conservancy. This grant is a critical funding source for our programs Redwood Adventure, Project Courage, and Fierce and Fabulous. GirlVentures seeks committed and collaborative additions to our Board of Directors!
We seek individuals rooted in the SF Bay Area with a passion for inspiring girls and gender expansive youth to lead through outdoor adventure, inner discovery, and collective action.
Specifically, we are looking for people with diverse backgrounds and skills in a variety of areas.
We encourage parents and caring adults, course alumni, previous volunteers, and all who share our values of inclusion, integrity, empathy, creativity, and community to consider applying.
Prior experience on a Board of Directors is preferred but not required.
We look forward to meeting you!

Redwood Adventure was a beautiful time together in the trees! Our participants enjoyed the stunning scenery in the reserve and also the beach down the way. Many thanks to Save the Redwoods League for hosting us and providing an opportunity for the group to give back via a service project. It is always a joy to send out this first group and hear about their experiences and enjoy the smiles that happen all along the way!

Welcome in Spring and our preparation for our Summer Courses by joining us for an Open House on Tuesday, May 20th from 5-7 at our GirlVentures office!
We will have yummy noshes, updates, interactive activities for the kids, and a fun space to reconnect, we'd love to see you!

Rising Together is an affinity course for participants in high school who identify as BIPOC to explore the outdoors with trained leaders who are also BIPOC. By gathering together with others who share this identity, they are able to safely and collectively experience the healing capacity of the outdoors. While building a community together over 7 days they will build trust, explore concepts related to social justice and identity, and become stronger leaders while backpacking and climbing. This course, like all GV courses, does not require prior experience. We strongly believe that affinity spaces are needed and have to be carefully curated for those that have historically not had safe access to the outdoors. We ask that you share this course with those in your community who would benefit from this experience and chance to explore with GirlVentures.

Join GirlVentures and support our 2025 Get Active campaign, a fundraiser that will help us raise critically important donations for our scholarship fund and core operations of GirlVentures.
We have an opportunity to match donations up to $50,000 that will go directly to supporting our summer programs.
This year's theme is “Climb Higher",
a call to get active together and raise each other up in our community while celebrating the great outdoors!
The campaign kicks off today and we hope you join us in raising money and encouraging young people to get outside and build on their leadership skills by exploring with GirlVentures.

We have two courses that take our participants out for a 14 day experience, and On The Rise is the course for youth entering 10th- 12th grade. The participants head to the Sierra National Forest and John Muir Wilderness where they live together in a community that they create together, while exploring the area via backpacking and rock climbing. Alumni from the course often go on to apply to become Assistant Instructors with GV or join our Youth Advisory Board.
