Recently in the greater Charleston area, there was an incident where an individual harassed a minor at their workplace, simply due to their gender expression. The person took an unsolicited recording of the minor while they were working. They uploaded the video online, where it gained traction and became cyberbullying. The family of the minor is pressing charges, and they have started a GoFundMe for legal expenses. Please consider showing your support.

Our PFLAG Charleston community does not accept this kind of inappropriate behavior towards anyone who is or is perceived as part of the LGBTQ+ community. It is not okay for anyone to be targeted in person or online simply for expressing themselves authentically. We strive to speak out against these injustices in our community. Love and acceptance will always win.
